Recipe: Delicious Sunshine Strawberry Tart

It is strawberry season, finally!

Yesterday we spent a perfect sunny day in the garden in our family house. While Nerma and our brother were planting flowers and mowing the grass, I surprised them with a strawberry tart (not only to escape the "hard" work in the garden:))

I knew we had 500 g strawberries in the kitchen but I didn't know what to do with it. Then I  found a few strawberry tart recipes on the internet and combined them so that I could use only the ingredients that I already had in the fridge.

Crust
Ingredients:
- 300 g flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 8 tablespoons cold butter
- 4-5 tablespoons cold water
- pinch of salt

If you don't have a food processor (like me), mix all ingredients with your hand until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumb. Then turn onto a lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth. Form a ball and leave in the fridge for 30 min.

Preheat oven to 200°C. Roll out the pastry to a 5 mm-thick round and line a tart pan. Bake for 20 min.

Cream
Ingredients:
- 200 g cream cheese
- 100 g sugar
- 200 g whip cream
- 1 grated lemon rind

Using an electric mixer, beat all ingredients until smooth. Spread mixture in cold pastry case.

The Highlight
Top with 500 g strawberries dipped in melted chocolate. Delicious! Now you are ready to put a smile on someone's face :)

Love,
Emina

PS. Enjoy the nice weather!
